Many manganese alloys producers shut down production for power tariff rising in South China this month, while many producers halted production for environmental protection in North China, so the whole operating rate decreased in China. Though the prices fluctuated in some provinces, the mainstream prices kept relatively stable at a low level, since most market participants held watch-and-see attitude towards the following market and made fewer transactions in October.
