In September, the Chinese tantalum and niobium market saw decreasing prices. Although summer holidays come to an end, most overseas consumers were in no hurry to come back to the market and they preferred to run down stocks further. As downstream demand remained sluggish, most tantalum and niobium smelters refused to buy tantalum and niobium ore at high prices. At the same time, many foreign suppliers had to lower their offers to promote sales this month.
