In July, the Chinese vanadium market remained sluggish and many consumers lowered their purchase prices for ferrovanadium and vanadium nitride, so vanadium prices in the spot market went down with few deals concluded. Meanwhile, due to a price drop in the vanadium pentoxide market, many participants were pessimistic about the future market trend, believing demand would continue to stay weak. As foreign buyers left for the summer holidays, the Chinese vanadium export market was quiet with almost no deals. The Chinese vanadium market was not expected to recover in the near future.
