The Chinese tantalum and niobium market showed soft tendency in July. As many consumers left the market for summer holidays, demand remained sluggish and inactive buying activities occurred in the spot market. Supply remained tight and overseas suppliers hold tantalum and niobium concentrate offers firm. However, Chinese domestic smelters lacked confidence in the future market and delayed purchasing raw materials with low production capacity.
