During this month, Chinese steel plate prices decreased notably in major cities because of weak downstream demand and lower purchasing cost. Prices for steel billet in North China kept decreasing in the month, making the producing cost in most second-tier steel mills much lower. In the coming month, Chinese steel plate prices are still likely to decrease, but the markdown will shrink.
