During this month, Chinese steel plate prices decreased notably in major cities because of weak downstream demand and lower purchasing cost from some second-tier steel mills in North China. The demand from end users will be weaker in the coming month because of high summer temperatures. Besides, steel billet prices were still at a low level, and thus insiders think the plate price will decrease slightly in the coming month.
