In recent years, as the capacity for electrolytic aluminum has been expanded continuously in China, the consumption potential for alumina may also witness a large increase in the future. Most of the aluminum capacity in China are distributed over Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, among which, Shanxi with its cost and geographical advantages is growing into the second largest alumina production base in China.
