In May, Chinese vanadium prices kept stable, but demand remained sluggish with few orders concluded. Many participants were pessimistic about the future market trend, believing Chinese steel mills would decrease their purchasing prices for vanadium products, so many buyers held wait-and-see attitudes towards the market. Meanwhile, as the European ferrovanadium market became slacker following price drops, Chinese vanadium export prices moved down accordingly with weak demand and diminishing deals.
