As many steel mills raised their purchase prices on ferrovanadium and vanadium nitride for April, Chinese vanadium prices went up slightly in the spot market. Meanwhile, the Chinese vanadium pentoxide market kept firm and many suppliers were reluctant to sell any stocks they had on hand. Benefiting from the tight supply and price increases in the European ferrovanadium market, the Chinese ferrovanadium export market became better than before with increasing orders and prices.
