The Chinese tantalum and niobium market continued to see increasing offers in April. As the African tagged tantalum concentrate market witnessed tight supply, suppliers raised their offers. At the same time, many domestic tantalum and niobium plants regained confidence in the future market and pushed up their offers on tantalum and niobium related products accordingly. Downstream users made purchases from hand to mouth and demand remained steady. However, demand for tantalum powder from the capacitor industry showed a softer tendency.
