In April, Chinese tungsten market remained dim. Many APT and tungsten carbide producers ran low rates of production capacity and delayed purchasing tungsten concentrate. End users lost confidence in the future market and refrained from rebuilding stocks. Small quantities of consumers made purchases from hand to mouth. Prices of tungsten related products were in downtrend in April and downstream demand kept sluggish.
