In early April, prices for HRC in China’s leading markets recorded an upward trend, pulled up by the price increase in the futures market and slight release in demand from downstream consumers. However, prices began to fall back slightly in the middle of this month following a dip in ex-works prices from steel mills and the absence of favorable news. Taking the low production costs into consideration, insiders predict that the price of HRC will struggle to move up in the coming month.
