Downstream demand for electrical steel remained unreleased this month and the sales performance for most domestic traders was unsatisfactory. Moreover, some leading electrical steel producers like Baosteel and Bengang Steel moved down ex-works prices. As a result, market prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel showed a downward trend this month. Seeing no signs of demand releasing, insiders believe that electrical steel prices will go down further in May.
