The Chinese tantalum and niobium market kept stagnant in March. On the one hand, import market continued to see firm offers as oversea exporters were not in a rush to sell the materials and refused to lower their offers. On the other hand, most domestic tantalum and niobium plants ran small production capacity and they refrain from placing orders. As a result, rare transactions were concluded in the spot market. Downstream products like tantalum oxide and niobium oxide offers increased slightly, but end users were inactive in making purchases.
