The market of titanium in February kept sluggish. Most participants came back to the market in late February from the long holiday of Spring Festival. The demand was very weak and some titanium productions prices moved down after the holiday of Spring Festival with few new orders concluded. Chinese ferrotitanium market kept stable this month with prices hovering in low level as most steel mills did not hold tenders to purchased ferrotitanium.
Ferrotitanium prices in Europe went up further with the main reason of higher raw materials prices. Impacted by the asbestine pollution, Russia-based ferrotitanium was not accepted by European buyers, and the supply in Europe became tight, which made the price move up. Russian ferrotitanium market was just stable with unchanged prices.
