Demand for calcined bauxite from Chinese domestic market did not improve in January. Some producers that could not dig raw bauxite due to the limitation of exploration in Yangquan, and they stopped production in succession. Calcined bauxite market was quiet with the approaching Spring Festival at the end of the month. Chinese calcined bauxite market remained stable in January with low trading volumes. Overseas consumers were not interested in purchasing at the beginning of January as they have just returned to the market from the New Year holiday, and they just sent a few enquires to know current export price.
