Most participants came back from the Spring Festival after February 10th, and the market was quiet after the long holiday. The demand from downstream buyers was soft, and the weather was still cold especially in North China and North East China. Mills and traders moved down prices of HR strip to promote sales, however, the market was hard to make progress without the stimulation of positive policies. Though the government published new policies to compress the productivity, the market could not make progress at once due to the serious oversupply. Under such a condition, insiders deem prices of HR strip are likely to go down further next month.
