Section steel prices in prevailing markets showed a downward trend this month affected by the unreleased downstream demand. However, Masteel suspended the production of angle steel this month and traders in Shanghai raised prices due to the tight supply. March is considered as the peak season for domestic section steel market, and downstream demand is likely to become stronger next month. Therefore, insiders believed that section steel prices will show an upward trend in March.
