The market of titanium products remained soft in January as prices of most titanium products stayed at a low level which was lower than production costs though titanium metal producers kept operation rates high
Ferrotitanium prices continued to increase in Europe mainly because higher raw material prices pushed up ferrotitanium prices, meanwhile, the supply of ferrotitanium tightened in Europe as EU started to impose 2.7% of tariff since January and there was less Russian ferrotitanium flowing into Europe . However, Russian ferrotitanium market kept stable without any changes in prices.
. The overall demand continued to weaken and there were rare deals concluded as consumers left the market for the Spring Festival holiday in late January . Raw material market did not improve and prices declined slightly . Domestic ferrotitanium market was relatively stable and prices stayed at a low level this month.
