Prices of HGI coil in Chinese prevailing markets failed to move up as most traders expected, because they lacked support from production cost and downstream industry demand. Most traders were reluctant to adjust quotations before the Spring Festival holiday and they had started to retreat from the market since the middle of January. The market was quiet this month and the price was unchanged especially in the second half of the month. As the HGI coil market is hard to be stimulated in the near future, insiders deem HGI coil price is likely to be stable in the coming month.
