In December, Chinese chrome market runs stably and weakly. Even if most ferrochrome smelters suspend their production in Inner Mongolia due to environmental protection, there is no sign for Chinese ferrochrome market to rebound with slack demand and low prices. Chinese steel mills’ purchasing prices of high carbon ferrochrome to be yielded in January have not changed compared with those of December, so many participants are very pessimistic towards the market before the Spring Festival holiday with few orders concluded.
