Prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel kept stable this month with the support of the firm ex-works price, while those of grain oriented electrical steel showed a downward trend affected by the bad market transaction. Market participants will have a seven-day Spring Festival holiday starting at the end of January. The market of electrical steel will be half-closed one or two weeks before the Chinese Lunar New Year and traders are unlikely to adjust offers seeing the departure of customers. Insiders believe market prices will be stable next month considering the limited transaction days in January.
