The Chinese tungsten market continued to be dull in November
. In early November, many Chinese market participants expected that China Minmetals would go back into the market, and push up prices again . However, although the offers for tungsten concentrate from China Minmetals increased compared with those of October, the market did not see any obvious improvement this month . Owing to the soft demand and the low level of buying activities, the tungsten market moved down continuously in November . The tungsten prices also showed downtrend . The Chinese tungsten export market was quiet, and the overseas customers were cautious in making deals . According to market participants, the Chinese government was likely to publish new policies on export duties and quotas . Most of the overseas customers held wait-and-see attitudes towards the future market, even though they planned to sign orders for Q1 2014 . But there was no official information related to the proposed changes to export duties during November, so the market remained cautious . It is expected that the market will be quiet in the near future .
