Chinese mercury metal showed a weak performance in October. The stocks in spot market were at a large amount with few transactions. Producers began to lower offers due to funds pressure. However, the market lacks demand support and the transactions were still few with a decreasing price. The operating rate of mercury plants in October declined a little compared with that of September. Most producers reduced output or stopped production to clear out stocks and relieved the funds pressure.
