Chinese molybdenum market trend could be divided into two periods in September. Early this month, molybdenum prices moved up further though demand from downstream industries turned to be slow with inactive purchase movement, and in the following two weeks, the market held largely stable as molybdenum concentrate suppliers maintained high quotations despite softening purchase movement. However, in the second half of this month, especially after the Mid-autumn Day holiday, molybdenum market started to move down impacted by the negative trend in European molybdenum market. In spite of the tenders for ferromolybdenum, it did not support the market.
