Chinese silicon metal prices increased sharply in September. Some smelters resumed production under the sharp price rise, but the overall supply in the spot market did not increase obviously. The supply was still a bit tight and smelters raised offers continuously. Following the sharp price rise in the domestic market, Chinese silicon metal export prices rose continuously in September, but the rising speed lagged behind that in the domestic market.
