BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Oct 13 – China has the largest output and capacity of brown fused alumina in the world, compared with other producers in Asian and European countries. It is estimated that the total capacity of brown fused alumina amounts to 3,600,000t in 2012, and some insiders even believe that the total capacity of brown fused alumina exceed 4,300,000t. However, the economy growth slows down at home and abroad, so the operation rate among producers is only 30-40% currently in China with most producers out of production.
