Prices of wire rod and rebar in most domestic markets experienced a strong and continuously downward trend in September. The main reason was still the unreleased demand. Participants were disappointed about the market and few of them built stocks in the traditional high season. Steel mills began lowering ex-works prices on decreasing raw material prices. However, after a long time decrease, traders all expected that the market would make progress and prices would go up in October when more construction projects start the operation. Insiders predict that prices of wire rod and rebar will increase slightly in the following month.
