Cobalt price fell in the first half of August and then rebounded at the end of this month. In Europe, market participants were in summer vacation and the operating rate of factories was low. It was also summer season in Asian countries and demand weakened affected by hot weather. In early August, cobalt price kept dropping with sluggish demand. In the second half of August, many traders believed that cobalt price has touched the bottom line and they began to purchase in large quantities. With the increasing of procurement activities, cobalt price bottomed out. Then consumers began to give up the wait-and-see attitude, and cobalt price was lifted step by step.
