The market of titanium in August kept sluggish, and the prices of raw materials, such as titanium ilmenite and titanium slag prices moved down. Most producers of titanium productions ran at low capacity with the heavy pressure of oversupply, and they also reduced the price further this month. Only prices of titanium tetrachloride and titanium sponge went up surprisingly.
Chinese ferrotitanium prices moved down greatly this month as most steel mills were overhauling and most producers reduced the output or even stop prodution as the demand from steel mills was very weak.
