Prices of welded pipe increased this month stimulated by the price increase of raw materials such as steel billet and HR strip. The market transaction was not satisfying and the futures market was also unsteady. However, affected by the environmental protection policies in North China, some mills were closed down. In addition, the easing of real estate property tightening measures also gave traders and mills confidence. September is the traditional high season for steel market, thus insiders deem that the price is likely to go up further next month.
