Affected by higher production cost, ex-works prices of HGI coil for August production stopped falling down. Prices of HGI coil in Chinese prevailing markets increased slightly in mid-July unexpectedly in the traditional dull season. However, dragged by the soft demand, they were powerless to go up greatly in late July. Since there is no strong support from downstream demand, insiders deem prices of HGI coil are likely to drop a little in the coming month.
