Prices of stainless scrap kept declining this month, with a markdown of RMB600-800/t, mainly influenced by sharp price decreases of raw materials as well as the poor market performance. Not being confident of the coming market, traders were cautious of supplementing inventories and the total market stock ran at a relatively low level. Besides, downstream customers were inactive in placing orders due to insufficient orders for finished stainless steel products. Insiders forecast a stable price in the coming month.
