A few of Chinese major primary aluminum producers claimed to reduce production after the seminar in late May. They wanted to stimulate aluminum ingot price to rebound or stabilize for a while. However, the condition of being in great surplus will not improve even if they really cut production as they claimed to. Aluminum ingot price slid down quickly after the rebound in May and early June. Without any reformation in the industry, Chinese primary aluminum producer will stay in trouble for quite a while.
