The price of cobalt metal rebounded from the end of April, and the increasing trend lasted to mid-May. During this time, the price rise restricted some customers to replenish inventories, and it brought a warmer market to a certain degree. However, after the price rise, the market came back to be quiet again. CDI conference was held in Shanghai in the second half of May, and this conference brought an optimistic attitude to overseas market participants, but it affected little in Chinese market. Insiders pointed out that the whole market ran flat on the mass, and they thought it was hard to see an obvious recovery in a short run.
