Steel scrap decreased after stability this month with RMB80-370/t of price decrease
. Mainstream mills kept steel scrap purchasing prices stable early this month while some mills decreased their bids slightly . Most mills could obtain sufficient deliveries . Steel scrap sped up to fall late May due to the grim steel market and negative factors from macro economy, which made mainstream mills depressed their procurement prices. According to statistics provided by Asian Metal, steel scrap prices dropped by RMB100-370/t in South China in May while by RMB80-300/t in North China .
