Influenced by price declines of raw materials as well as the poor market performance, prices of stainless scrap showed a downward trend this month. By May 23, it hit the lowest point since 2008, the financial crisis year. When it entered the fourth week, traders’ sentiments calmed down and they forecasted a stable price in view of the relatively flat price trend of nickel, while the market performance remained unsatisfying all through this month. Insiders deem the price is likely to keep stable in the coming June.
