Prices of section steel in major markets witnessed a sharp downward trend this month. On one hand, prices of raw materials kept decreasing and steel mills’ ex-works prices have also decreased a lot within this period. On the other hand, the sales performance for most domestic traders was quite unsatisfying, and downstream demand didn’t show any signs of rebounding. June is not the peak season for the steel market, and the market prospect is expected to be dim affected by the slow domestic economic growth. Therefore, insiders believe prices will continue to go down next month.
