Steel market remains weak and price keeps depreciating due to sluggish international economy and the slow down of domestic economy increase
. Steel mills continues to place pressures on coking coal prices in order to reduce their production costs . As a consequence, coking coal price keeps declining from March . Currently downstream steel and coal market remain weak and demand for coking coal keeps sluggish, however, large state-owned mills are still keeping producing at normal level . As consequence, coking coal market is trapped with the two problems of lacking for the impetus to reduce production in domestic market and seeing no improvement for demand from overseas market . It is difficult to stop the downtrend in the short-term.
