Selenium market continues the downward movement in April, with the continuous sharp fall in prices. With decrease in manganese prices, a few manganese smelters suspend production and demand for selenium dioxide remains dull. China imported over 136 tons of selenium in March, which gives great pressure to selenium market and selenium importers suffer losses. End users still hold back from purchasing material. Tellurium prices start to increase in April by speculation. Traders are active in building stocks, while end users still purchase from hand to mouth, with dull demand from downstream market.
