Prices of electrical steel in prevailing domestic markets witnessed the downward trend this month due to steel mills’ lower ex-works prices and the soft demand from end industries. The supply of silicon steel is unlikely to reduce greatly within a short term, and demand is hard to rebound as May is not a peak season for the downstream industry. Therefore, insiders believe prices will continue to decrease next month.
