Asian Metal visits Wanyuan Magnesium, Yabo Coal Magnesium and Taida Coal
On the afternoon of November 27, 2019, Asian Metal Senior Magnesium Analyst and Senior Product Manager Ms. Daphne Zhang visitedYulin Wanyuan Magnesium (Group) Co., Ltd., Fugu Yabo Coal Magnesium Co., Ltd. and Fugu Taida Coal Co., Ltd., and was warmly greeted by the above companies.
In the afternoon, Ms. Daphne Zhang first visited Yulin Wanyuan Magnesium (Group) Co., Ltd. and met the company's General Manager Mr. Ren Lijun and Sales Manager Mr. Wang Shunyang. Mr. Wang stated that magnesium producers now face a difficult situation since coal prices are high while semi-coke is hard to sell; meanwhile, restricted by weak demand and sluggish transactions on the magnesium market, prices for ordinary magnesium ingot keep dropping to a low level and added value in small-sized magnesium ingot decreases.
With an existing annual production capacity of 20,000t of magnesium products, Wanyuan Magnesium maintains a monthly output of 1,600t of ordinary magnesium ingot and around 300t of 100g and 300g magnesium ingot, and makes sales mainly in the domestic market. The company showed great interest in taking part in the 9th Magnesium Summit to be held by Asian Metal in Hangzhou on April 16-17, 2020.
Afterwards, Ms. Daphne Zhang visited Fugu Yabo Coal Magnesium Co., Ltd., where she met and exchanged views with the company's General Manager Mr. Yuan Sanfei on status quo and 2020 development trends of the magnesium market. According to Mr. Yuan, the company has expanded its production beyond ordinary magnesium ingot to T-type magnesium ingot, and also is quite interested in cooperating with downstream consumers in order to enhance its competitiveness.
Yabo Coal Magnesium has an annual production capacity of 20,000t of ordinary magnesium ingot and currently maintains a monthly output of 1,500t; besides, it has a production capacity of about 300t of T-type magnesium ingot. The company is a years-long member of Asian Metal. In order to sharpen its competitive edges, the company now produces mainly magnesium ingot 99.95%min used in titanium sponge production and keeps a monthly output of 2,600t. Thanks to its high quality, the product is greatly acknowledged by clients. The company maintains stable production and sells it mainly by taking part in biddings organized by titanium plants.
