Asian Metal visits Kaihang Photonics, Kiro-CH, Zichuang Infrared and Wuxin Industry
On December 21st, 2017, Zhao Hao, the market director and Shelly Liu, the analyst of indium, germanium and gallium markets from Asian Metal visited Kunming Kaihang Optics Co., Ltd., Yunnan Kiro-CH Photonics Co., Ltd., Kunming Zichuang Infrared Technology Co., Ltd. and Yunnan Wuxin Industry Co., Ltd.
On the morning, Asian Metal visited Kunming Kaihang Optics Co., Ltd. and had a friendly talk with Ma Jun, the department manager. Ma Jun introduced that the company owns the complete design, processing, assembling and manufacturing capability from infrared optical materials, fabrication and coating, aspheric fabrication, electromagnetic shielding grid, infrared optical lens to photoelectric device for adjusting and measuring instrument. In particular, 20-30% of materials used in the infrared lens production are germanium. At noon, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Kiro-CH Photonics Co., Ltd. and received a warm reception. Asian Metal had a friendly communication with Li Maozhong, the deputy general manager and Fu Xingxu, the manager of the market department. The company is a major and specialized supplier of infrared optical materials and products as well as low-light level night vision products globally. Li Maozhong stated that the company exploited downstream market actively and at the same time intended to enter the upstream raw material market to lay a solid foundation for the development of downstream market. Being a member of Asian Metal, Kiro-CH thought highly of quotations, research reports and statistics of Asian Metal. Liu Jinneng claimed that Zichuang Infrared, with an annual capacity of 12t of germanium, mainly deals with the production and processing of germanium as well as the recycle of the scrap, adding that prices for germanium metal increased supported by the tight supply and stable downstream demand. After that, Asian Metal visited Yunnan Wuxin Industry Co., Ltd. and received a warm reception, discussing about current market movements with Yu Shuhua, the general manager. Yu Shuhua stated that the company, mainly engaged in the production and processing of germanium oxide and crude indium, had an annual capacity of 20t of germanium oxide and a monthly output of 200-300kg of crude indium and was optimistic about the market outlook.
