Advanced Material Japan Corporation visits Asian Metal

On 9 afternoon of June, Shigeo Nakamura, president of Advanced Material Japan Corporation, along with Mirali AMAYAMA, general manager of Beijing office and sales engineer Mr. Wu Chen visited Asian Metal, and exchanged opinions on rare earth and the tantalum- niobium market with senior analyst Vivian and analyst Maggie.
Mr. Nakamura introduced that the company’s products include titanium, manganese, tungsten, molybdenum, rare earth, tantalum, niobium, nickel and cobalt. Mr. Mirali AMAYAMA presented the demand of high purity rare earth oxide in the Japanese market and inquired Vivian on the price trend of lanthanum and cerium products and Chinese optical glass industry. In view of the sluggish optical glass market, both sides were pessimistic about high purity lanthanum oxide, gadolinium oxide and other products.
Mr. Nakamura introduced their tantalum-niobium ores operation in Rwanda, noting that the company focused on the supply of Japanese customers in the past and will enter the Chinese market. They exchanged on the current status and prospect of domestic and abroad tantalum- niobium market. For future application, the two sides agreed that tantalum-niobium products will be more widely used in the electronics industry as well as in the terminal consumer areas with a new round of growth in the coming years.
