Asian Metal attended the annual meeting of Chinese Tantalum-Niobium Association

On 15th,December, 2016, Maggie Lee and Doreen Lv, analysts of Asian Metal were invited to attend the annual meeting of Chinese Tantalum-Niobium Association in Jiujiang, and talked with 36 insiders about Chinese tantalum and niobium market situation and future trend.
On the morning of 15th, Wen Xianzhong, president of Chinese Tantalum-Niobium Association announced the total minor metal market of China in 2016 and talked about the future direction of macro economy. He said as the economy both at home and abroad picks up, some base metal market sees signs of rebounding. However, Chinese tantalum and niobium market still need time to pick up limited by weak demand from end users. Then Ningxia Tantalum, Guangdong Zhiyuan, Taike Tachnology, Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide, Zhongxin Metal and some other major plants made short presentations about their production and future development.
On the afternoon of 15th, all the attendees shared with some ideas about 9 articles from different areas including tantalum and niobium oxide and metal production technology, applications of alloys and new recycling of ores. About the future market in 2017, Asian Metal predicts that as current tantalum and niobium ore prices have hit the bottom, in addition, the future global economic environment will turn better, the Chinese tantalum and niobium market will see increasing demand in Q1, which supports the prices to increase again.
