Asian Metal invited to BBC Worldwide to talk on cadmium metal market

Asian Metal was invited to the BBC Worldwide headquarters in London on Friday 13th May 2016 to partake in a discussion regarding the current cadmium market. Mr Joseph Clarke, Minor Metals Analyst EMEA, travelled to the broadcaster’s headquarters with Regional Manager Mr Scott Yarham for the interview. The interviewer, Mr Justin Rowlatt, explored the cadmium market with questions regarding the current trend, major applications, regulations and outlook for the minor metal.
Asian Metal, the leaders for market information and pricing analysis, have a strong grasp on minor metals such as cadmium, therefore provided clear insight into the sourcing of cadmium, the major suppliers by country, key applications driving demand and major factors having an effect on the prices both past and present. Mr Rowlatt was particularly interested in the regulations regarding the use of the metal which Joseph Clarke explained in depth of the myths and truths surrounding the toxicity and carcinogenic risks in the use of cadmium.
This segment of the programme, part of the BBC World Service about chemical elements and their role in the global economy, is expected to be available for download within the next 7 days at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01rcrn6/episodes/downloads
Asian Metal were thanked for the participation in the segment and providing insight into what is a rather clandestine metal market.
