Nuode Investment starts production of copper foil for power lithium battery

On August 30, Qinghai Nuode New Material Co., Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nuode Investment, started the phase I project of 10,000tpy of copper foil for power lithium battery, marking Nuode Investment's mass production capacity of the new generation of environment-friendly, high-tensile, chrome-free 6μm ED copper foil.
The project has a planned production capacity of 40,000tpy and mainly produces 5-9μm ED copper foil for high-end power battery. The project is scheduled to be built in four phases. Phase I project has 48 foil machines and is expected to reach targeted capacity of 10,000tpy by the end of the year. Phase II, III, & IV projects are all on track for construction.
In addition, Nuode Investment will also upgrade its other subsidiary, Qinghai Electronic Material, for optimization of product structure as well as establishing the Qinghai Nuode Lithium Battery Material Industry Park, which is expected to cover land of more than 200,000 square meters with annual capacity of 65,000t of copper foil. Total investment for the upgrading of the subsidiary is about RMB3 billion and the subsidiary would generate output value of around RMB7 billion after reaching full capacity, which would consolidate Nuode Investment's leading position in the market of copper foil for lithium power battery.
