Iron ore pellet producer Ferrexpo reported on Wednesday that its third-quarter output fell 19% quarter-on-quarter. The decline stemmed from a temporary production shutdown and limited export capacity, as access to Ukrainian ports remains severely constrained.
Total commercial production for the three-month period ending September 30 dropped to 779,975 tonnes, compared with 963,409 tonnes in Q2.
Ferrexpo, which concentrates its operations in Ukraine, temporarily halted production in August due to liquidity pressures and Black Sea export disruptions caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Following a $100 million capital raising, the miner restarted one pelletising line in September.
