Mineral Resources (MinRes) has completed major construction at its Lamb Creek open pit iron ore project, enabling subsidiary CSI Mining Services to advance mining, processing, and haulage operations.
Located on Banjima Country 120km northwest of Newman, the 7 million tons per annum facility features high-grade Brockman-style bedded iron mineralization. The site extends the Pilbara Hub production profile by more than five years through four sequential mining stages.
Company teams broke ground in December 2025 and achieved first ore on ship three months later.
Blended with Iron Valley product, Lamb Creek ore travels via Great Northern Highway to Port Hedland for export through Utah Point.
MinRes forecasts Pilbara Hub output at 10–11 million tons in FY27.
