Zhengwang (Baotou) gets green light for rare earth metals and alloy project

On October 8, the Industry and Information Technology Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued a notice approving Zhengwang (Baotou) High-Tech Rare Earth Co., Ltd. to build a 2,500tpy rare earth metals and alloys project.
The project is located within the existing plant of Inner Mongolia Hengsheng Industrial Co., Ltd. in the Baotou New Materials Industrial Park, with a total investment of RMB33.55 million (USD5.01 million).
The facility will produce 2,500tpy of rare earth metals and alloys, including 1,000tpy of praseodymium-neodymium metal, 1,000tpy of lanthanum-cerium metal, 15tpy of ytterbium metal, 35tpy of dysprosium metal, 70tpy of terbium metal, 30tpy of yttrium metal, 250tpy of cerium-iron alloy, and 100tpy of lanthanum-iron alloy. The construction period is 12 months.
